What is Veterinary Physiotherapy?

Veterinary Physiotherapy is a science-based, holistic approach to animal musculoskeletal and neurological health. It involves assessing movement, posture and conformation to identify areas of weakness, pain, restriction or compensation within soft tissues, joints and nerves. Based on assessment findings, clinical reasoning is applied to determine the most beneficial therapies and form tailored treatment, exercise and rehabilitation plans. Physiotherapy plays a vital role in pain management, injury prevention, enhanced performance, restoring mobility and function and improving post-surgical rehabilitation.
